Do not panic give it little time

The Situation:
A young patient visited us from Jhang, concerned that her newly prescribed glasses were “wrong.” She had previously avoided wearing glasses altogether and only recently decided to give them a try. After a detailed check-up, she was given a prescription based on her responses and how she felt during the test. As always, we explained that the final decision about glasses depends not only on the doctor’s expertise but also on the patient’s feedback during the refraction process. She initially confirmed that she felt comfortable with the glasses. But a few days later, she doubted the number and felt something wasn't right. The Real Issue:
This situation is very common. Patients who have never worn glasses or who avoid using them for long periods often face difficulty in settling on a single “perfect” number. Their eyes are simply not used to sharp focus—and more importantly, their brain isn’t either. You see, vision is not just about the eyes. It’s a partnership between the eyes and the brain. When someone begins using glasses after a long time, the visual system goes through a period of adjustment. Even if the number is technically correct, the brain needs a few days or even weeks to learn how to process this new, sharper image. That’s why we always advise: "Don’t panic. Give it a little time."Our Response:
We respectfully reminded the patient: Translation: "Your comfort and satisfaction are our top priority. We prescribed the number that made you feel comfortable at the time. If you still feel uncertain, we're happy to recheck. But often, it's the coordination between the brain and the eyes that takes time—not the prescription itself."Final Thought:
To all our valued patients: If you’ve recently started using glasses and things still feel “off” — don’t worry. Your eyes are not defective, your number isn’t necessarily wrong. You’re just adjusting, and that’s completely normal. ✔️ Wear the glasses regularly. ✔️ Give your brain some time to adapt. ✔️ And most importantly — trust the process. We’re always here if you need reassurance, a recheck, or just a friendly explanation over chai ☕ i#smail eye clinic faisalabad photos #eye clinic #ophthalmologists #best eye specialist in fsd
